I died yesterday, the sky was falling
and a piece ran through my heart...
I used to know what I was doing,
but now I don't know where to start.

I cried yesterday, the floor dropped out
and I lost everything that I love
there was nothing to hold on to
nothing below me, and nothing above

the world disappeared,
and everything I've feared
has fallen down around me
a black cloud descended
my happiness ended
and now I can't even see.

I lost myself in wanting to please you
but everything I've done in vain
I found myself but you don't care
and now I can't even explain.

I wish it was different, I wish we could be
but nothing will ever be the same
I'm sick of this game now, it's over
I won't keep up this relentless refrain.
